DAY 04-TREKKING KUALA LITUT 8KM / MULU HQ (Bf, P.lunch, Dinner)

Wakeup & breakfast trekking 8km through beautiful rainforest and along the Litut River to Kuala Litut terminal waiting boat. Take longtail boat ride to visit 2 caves namely; CAVE OF WINDS with the tall, stalagmites, then on to the source of the CLEARWATER RIVER, see the underground river and visit the dry passage of the LADY’S CAVE. Swim at the Clearwater Spring. After picnic lunch at the Clearwater Pavilion, continue your journey to Mulu HQ, register and check-in National Park accommodation.By afternoon visit 2 caves namely; DEER and LANG’S CAVE. We trek along plank walk (3km) through the rainforest, explore the largest cave passage in the World-DEER CAVE and LANG’S CAVE. Relax at the open observatory to witness the phonemenon exodus of BATS flying out of the cave searching for food. We then return back to the Park to your accommodation.

DAY 03-PINNACLES CHALENGE UP VIEW POINT(Bf, P.lunch, Dinner)

Early wakeup & breakfast. The adventure to the viewpoint kicks off at 7.00am, after a night’s stay at camp 5. The climb is challenging, filled with fun and excitement. The trail is 2.4km in length but rises some 1,200 metres. Vegetation vary following the changes of altitudes. The varieties of wild orchids and pitcher plants scarcely seen elsewhere can spotted along the trek before reaching the Pinnacles. The last section of the trail is near vertical, with rope sections and 15 aluminium ladders strategically positioned to help with the climb. The view point area is made up of a number of Pinnacles, rock and vegetation and has excellent views of the silver-grey forest of stone that rises up from the surrounding vegetation. Fit and experienced trekkers should be able to reach the top in 2-3 hours. The not so fit but determind generally take around 4-5 hours. The desend may take slightly longer than the climb. Dinner & overnight at camp 5.

DAY 02-TREKKING HUNDHUNTER’S TRAIL 11.3KM(Bf, P.Lunch, Dinner)

Wakeup & breakfast. After breakfast transfer by longboat to Kuala Terikan Headhunter’s trail trekking to camp 5.. Today 11.3km the headhunter trail has become a popular tourist attraction, luring large number of people or those who are just curious to experience the trek that cuts through the heart of the jungle pass river basin and limestone. Upon arrival at camp 5 basic accommodation open beds. Camp 5 located beside melinau gorge view benarat cliffs. Dinner & Overnight at camp 5. Free at leisure.

DAY 01- LONGBOAT RIDE/MENTAWAI RANGER POST(P.Lunch, Dinner)

Meeting point at Kuala Luarah immigration. Upon arrival meeting your Localised Nature Guide. After passport clearence depart by vehicle to Nanga Medamit Longboat Terminal. Longboat ride up to Mentawai Ranger Post National Park gateway to Pinnacle and Mulu. Stay overnight at Mentawai Ranger Post guest house. Free at leisure until evening watching Pitchers plants Nepenthes ampullaria specis in the Park. Dinner and overnight at Mentawai Chalet. (PL, D)
